GPL: Print a "still" from a replay?

by Kent Hosterma » Tue, 15 Jun 1999 04:00:00

Hi,

Would anyone know if its possible to capture and print a single frame from a
replay. Well, it's gotta be possible, what I meant was: I haven't a clue how
to do it myself. Any help would be appreciated.

right now, but this is really exciting to me. The best part is I actually
finished these races without a shunt! This is entirely due to using Alison
Hine's latest Ferrari setups. Although the Glen time was in a Lotus that I
set up using her principles.

Well, I after getting GPL in May, I just got a new cpu and a voodoo3 and
I've got the frame rate covered. Now all I need is a wheel/pedal setup and
I'll be set. Sorry for rambling. I been living on 3 hours sleep a night
since... gee I guess May. Hmmm...

RTFM. It's in described in the readme.txt in your gpl directory:

CAPTURING SCREENSHOTS

There are two methods of taking screenshots during the game.  First you can
press ALT-PrintScreen to capture the current screen in the clipboard,
allowing you to exit GPL and paste it into the paint program of your choice.
Secondly, and useful if you want to take a number of different shots at
once, pressing just the PrintScreen button saves sequentially numbered PBF
files (gplss##.pbf) to your GPL directory.  After exiting GPL you can then
use the included pbf2tga.exe program to convert them to a usable TGA format.
