Hi,
anybody know the colourcode for the 2000 ferrari F1 car?
I'm building the Tamiya kit and superdetailing it and need the colour code,
I think it is a PPG paint, but i'm having a hard time finding out which.

Thanks
Sudesh

nope, they are not marlboro red, the paint wax mixed to give them more
television 'presence'
and it is nearly fluorescent, also they changed supplier and colour in 1999
or 2000 to i think PPG, and the colour was slightly darkened then..........
If only they had stuck to rosso corsa as used before 1997 before ...*sigh*

Not a Joke, but a fact...Ferrari Red is now More Marlboro Reddish/Orange
than the traditional *** Red hue.  I would hope the commercial cars still
use the traditional color scheme, but not having a Ferrari dealership
nearby(like about 300 miles away) I can't run in and check.

It used to be Italian Red or Ferrari Red... I don't remember if by 2000 it
had already been changed to the current color or not.

BTW, if you need photos of the real thing, here are the ones I took earlier
this year:

Yes, sometimes (not very often) we get lucky here. This particular case
must have been due to Shell moving its offices from Puerto Rico to Brazil
(just next door) some time ago. Now they're sponsoring a F1 2002 (albeit
on PlayStation2) championship, the prize being a full-fledged simulator
(includes giant plasma screen TV, PS2, the EA game,***pit, wheel and pedals).
Does anybody here know what the PS2 version of F12002 is like? A friend
tells me EA has a history of crappy versions when it comes to the PS2...
