Just browsing through my ini file trying too find the part to disable
texture compression in paintkit and i saw steer_ratio=1. What does this do,
and i dont want it on, so is that off or on? Also anyone know what file
save_textures_with_compression=1 is in?

"In your "player.ini" file change these lines to read this way:

[Paintkit]

save_textures_with_compression=0

(Turns off graphic compression on cars for more crisp detail.)"

from some guys guide, if i can find the link i'll post it.

In the INI files the "0" is "Off" and the "1" is "On" This is true with most
games INI/CFG files.

Honestly, if you don't know what something does, why do you know you don't
want it on? LOL! The steer ratio is a feature that gives you 'more' steering
when at low speed IE in the pits, so when you get ready to pull into or out
of your pit stall, you have more steering to help with the tight turns in
this situation (especially at short tracks with real tight pit spaces). You
most definitely want the steering ratio turned on so you can manuever in the
pits, as I understand it, it only kicks in at 45mph and slower.
