That's actually incorrect as it says on their website, I think they
got two proggies mixed up. DXtweak definitely works on win2k, can't
say about XP but it should be fine there too.

There's a front-end launch proggie that let's you tweak all the physics.
The worst offender, IMO, is the superfragilisticexpedaliocious braking
power, but you can reduce that to any level you like.  Don't have the URL,

Fictional in the sense that they aren't authentic recreations of the
actual rally stages purported to be represented? Why do they do that?

Rally Masters is very good - I'm not sure how anyone could describe the
graphics as 'grainy' - they're as smooth and colourful as any racing game
I've seen on my machine.  I first got the game when I had a TNT2 and it was
a bit average, but with a GeForce, the game really comes to life and runs at
a liquid smooth frame rate.  The physics are almost up there with Rally
Trophy and are possibly better in some ways.

Colin McRae Rally (the original) is the best choice for slightly less
serious rallying - lots of fun to be had.  The car doesn't seem to slide
properly in the sequel.

Australian buyers of "Commandos II" get a voucher for a free copy of Rally
Masters!!  - 2 kick-ass games!

Does that prog reset after a reboot or are they saved as permanent settings?
I ask this because if I change the settings for the wheel then won't it
***up my joystick too?
Or can you save profiles for various devices?

To make it more exciting for the arcade crowd. CM2.0 has so many winding
turns that it makes me feel nauseous.

Because it's much easier to create fictional settings then to map 300km of
terrain ;)

I run RM on a Celeron 400 with TNT... Works great with default options.

Make sure you try those fantasy tracks activated with cheat code in
the original CMR... :-)

Don't know the answer to that one, sorry. I thought it was a universal
or global change, but I could be wrong.

I went ahead and tried it anyway. That prog has no effect under XP.
