Fictional in the sense that they aren't authentic recreations of the
actual rally stages purported to be represented? Why do they do that?

Colin McRae Rally (the original) is the best choice for slightly less
serious rallying - lots of fun to be had. The car doesn't seem to slide
properly in the sequel.

I ask this because if I change the settings for the wheel then won't it

To make it more exciting for the arcade crowd. CM2.0 has so many winding
turns that it makes me feel nauseous.

Make sure you try those fantasy tracks activated with cheat code in
the original CMR... :-)

I went ahead and tried it anyway. That prog has no effect under XP.
