I would like to take this opportunity to publically thank you at this
time. For every one person who sent you pictures of their wheel there
were probably 5 who didn't have one of those special cameras but sent
you an E-MAIL and another 10 who didn't take time to do either.
Unfortunately I would have admit I am in the latter of those three
groups.
While I may not have saved much money with my DIY wheel b/c of tool
and time costs I have learned a great deal about tools and workmanship
while building my wheel, things I am really glad to know now. No price
could be put on what I have learned and the satisfaction I obtained from
making a wheel with my own two hands.
My wheel is now complete. It has a great spring system, many pads
throughout that give the wheel a fluid like motion, shifters on the
wheel, an out board shifter, three pedals, a switch to go from 1 axis to
2 axis, and much more. I honestly wouldn't trade my wheel for an ECCI
or Hyperstimulator, they simply could not be any better than mine.
All of this was made possible by your generous help. If not for
your plans, site picts, and E-MAIL assistance I could have not passed
square one. I always enjoy what at times seems to be a rare occasion,
that of meeting a person who desires to help others without any
expectation of profit or return, as you have. Interacting with people
such as yourself is truly a pleasure. I wish you the best of luck in
future endeavors. Thank you very much.
