Ok, Craig has already asked about order of tracks, but I find car
choice difficult.

I  more or less following Steve Smith's guidance in "4 wheel drift"
guide, but he never mentions the Ferrari yet it seems pretty popular.
At the moment I am :
Lotus: Glen, Monza, Mexico, Mosport, Ring
Eagle: Silverstone, Zandy, Rouen, Spa, Kyalami
Brabham: Monaco
I'm never sure whether my choices are simply because I've done more
laps at that track with that chassis, although Spa and Rouen feel just
right in the Eagle, and I'm sure I ought to be in the Lotus at
Silverstone. And the Brabham is definitely suited to Monaco.
But where should I try the Ferrari, anyone?
(PS: I am not very fast anywhere, and have only been on GPL 6 months -
we're talking 1:09 Glen, 1:54 Mexico, 1:34 Silverstone !).

I'd go for Rouen - I use a nice slidey setup that's huge fun. The
Ferrari's good at Silverstone, too - again, with a slidey setup for
all those sharp-apexed corners.

The Ferrari issues goes back to the days. Mr. Smith in his orginal
manuscript prasied the Ferrari, but it was all redacted out. License issues
I would assume.

Rouen is great in the Ferrari, as is Zandy and it's at least very
competitive at the Glen. Anyplace where handling is at least as important as
raw speed.

In fact, I'd go so far as to say that the Ferrari is the best all arounder
of the lot and in the 'real world', even though it never won a race, had the
best all around success, statistically speaking.

Fun at Rouen? - that I'd like! The first 2 corners bring me out in a
cold sweat. Now Mexico,  that's fun - AFTER T1/2 (if I get round it
safely). In fact, I'm starting to see a pattern to the places where I
start sweating - I think it's whenever trail braking is needed, which
I can't do and keep some throttle on (no dual axis).
I'll Ferrari at Silverstone though - so far lots of lovely noise,
drama and fun in a pointy red car, but the times are poor so I don't
persist long enough. I'll try harder (using Alison's setups). Wish I
had a handbrake though.

Drive the BRM, Coventry, or Murasama if you want a challenge..

They're not a challenge, they're the easiest cars to drive. Setting good
times with them is a challenge :)

Given Laurence's times I'd recommend driving the Ferrari everywhere. It's
the best compromise between speed and driveability.
