The WWF and NASCAR is a much better comparison. :-)

I'm simply rebuffing the notion that it's "faded out".

Many times I've stated ymenard, consider the source but its old news!
Always in conflict with anyone that says anything 'negative' about f1rc
and then tries to make other sims seem like junk. Extremely juvenille &
immature. This last post by DGF proves my point & speaks for itself.
Really Sad..

I show respect to those who deserve respect.
Perhaps.....the problem.....is........just.......the same old, tired group
of people here at r.a.s. who keep repeating the same old garbage year after
year. If those people would simply stop replying to my posts (I certainly
haven't forced them to reply), the flame wars wouldn't exist.

Sorry, for some reason I've just been overcome with the need to admit my
sins and repent.

You're right, F1RC has "faded out". It was me who made all of the 16,000
posts over the past six at the HG forum. I registered all those user names.
I also made up the 550 names (and growing) at the F1RC Relay site.

Ahhh, I feel better now. Please forgive me. You were right about all this,
just like you were right about Ubi lying about the FIA restricting them from
developing the multiplayer further.

BTW Thom, I'm usually criticized by your buddies of liking too many sims.
Exactly the opposite of what you say below. Get your stories straight at the
next meeting.

Small example for you. I also liked F12000/CS and GP3 a lot (more than most
here) before F1RC was released.

The only flame wars are because of you.  You search for trouble, you
initiate the fire by throwing a match in it.  Unless you consider yourself
the crusader of the free world (which you probably do actually!) <G>

550 people is what I call faded out.  I wouldn't deny that GPL has faded out
also.

Anyway, where's the patch?

Thommy's called me out just like the kids with developmental problems used
to do to each other in the 7th grade.

Fine Thommy. Let's do it!

GPL = Grand Prix Legends.  (and it is the greatest racing game ever *grin*)

GPL is based on the 1967 Grand Prix season.  It takes you back to the era of
no downforce, minimal safety, power sliding around the streets of Monaco,
and dicing with death going through the Masta Kink at Spa-Fracorchamps.
If you want to play GPL online, you will have to get a program called VROC.
It allows you to meet up with all the guys who race GPL and chat with them
before joining a server.  It's also very easy to use.

Nascar 4 is also very good.  It's much superior in looks, feel and fun than
Nascar 2000.

Colin McRae Rally 2 is great fun as far as rally games go.

If you want something a little more 'fun' instead of serious, go for Porsche
Unleaded, Viper Racing, Driver (getting old but still heaps of fun), and
Sports Car GT.  They are all great fun without having to put lots of hours
of practice in to be good.

I'm sure there are more games out there that people are playing, but these
are the ones I've played and have kept playing from time to time.  Hope this
helps you.
