I'm just downloading the demo.  My head says that this game is going to be
just about as dire as is humanly possible.  My heart says the screen shots
look good so what the hell!!!!

I'll tell you all what it's like once I've played it!!!

Doug,

Burnout PCE is one of the best Sims out on the market today.   There are two main
online drag racing leagues that run on Kali.  The SHRA and WHRA both at .com have leagues that
have classes setup with weekly races.  It is a blast, you should try it before you knock it.
And if you don't like it, it is your loss, not ours.

I still race it, (considering I haven't had it for but a month since I got
my 2 pcs networked) but the non-3dFX graphics SUCK...and it doesn't really
model lower-end engines well, like a Chev 350, slightly hot cam, 600 cfm
induction, dual-plane manifold, cheap-o everything, 9:1 compression - real
thing is just shy of 250 hp, Burnout PCE claims 228....

Burnout PCE is awesome, and NHRA Drag Racing sucks. The official game only lets
you race Fuel cars, and that to me is pretty lame. It also takes forever and a
day to load the textures for one pass in NHRA Drag Racing. Burnout is really
good, especially in 3dfx mode. I am what is considered a '***' drag racing
fan and I play the game just about every day.
