We can't let this happen.  They think it's a dead NG and use it for
themselves.  What should we do?

Should I call the MEOW MEOW ARMY?  (it's an Usenet thingy).  Darn usenet

I'm not sure which is worse - the spammers or the meowers.  Once they come
in, it's hard to get rid of them.  I vote NO

Yeah, it's what I was talking about the other day.

It sure is a frenzy over there.

I'd think it would die down once everyone gets their fills.

Lets all start posting tons and tons of large replay files and pushing
their warez off. ;)  (Just kidding. I, personally, would rather it die
down quietly.)

In all considerations, you have a point ;-)

But in this case, there is nobody else to help us "regain" our newsgroup.

If I have seen correctly they post reference CD's there.  I wasn't sure of
what you were talking about in that thread you posted, it did not at that
time click about the relation to absa.

Unfortunately from what I have read, they will continue for a long time.
absa was pretty dead but always useful as an alternative source for file
sharing.

I'll probably post some replays that I'll rename exactly like the subjects
they have at the moment.

Where is the fun in that? ;-)

Well, it's your own damn fault for abandoning it for Jacob's binaries in the
first place.  Now take your medicine!

If you want to "re-claim" it, you could always threaten them with ISP
termination for posting "warez" to a group that it shouldn't belong in in the
first place.  If that don't work, then post your replays (AND N4 CARS!).

Simply ignore them.

The more you feed trolls the more they come looking for scraps under the
table.
