GTR 2003 and DX9

Well, I clicked the button when loading up Nascar Racing 2003 for DX9 and
should have checked the NG on the performance of not only NR2003, but other
sims running under DX9 first.  Is it my imagination or does GTR2002 and
perhaps NR 2003 (no comparison except Nascar 4) run slower under DX9 than
under DX 8.1?  What is the NGs experience?  My fps in GTR2002 with 24 cars
and starting in the back at say Japan can be as low as 20 and for NR2003 as
low as 24 (yes I am running pretty high graphics 1600 x 1200).  I won't get
into what is turned on and off, just looking for a relative comparison.

I also understand that there is a DX9 eradicator out there.  Anybody have
experience with that?  Results?  See system specs below:

System:  ABS
Windows XP Home Edition
ASUS A7V333 Motherboard
512 Mb DDR SDRAM
AMD Athlon XP2100
Creative Labs Soundblaster Audigy Platinum
128Mb Nvidia GF4 Ti 4600
Logitech Formula Force Wheel

Thanks in advance folks.

Happy Racing.

Similar system here except a P4: no change in GTR2002 after DX9.  No change
in NR2003 for that matter, either!  I waited to install, but it has had no
effect on anything that I run regularly.

I've got Geforce 4600ti too and have found no problem at all going to DX9.
Could be a driver issue. I'm currently on 42.01 which runs fine with all the
games I've tried.
