I'm playing N4 on a LAN with one other human opponent. The check box
for computer cars is not grayed out but when it still won't let me add
computer opponents. Clicking it does nothing......any help is greatly
appreciated!

Since you're only using 1 client, reduce the number of allowed IPX or TCP/IP
connections on the server to 1, and then you'll be able to fill the
remaining 41 spots with AI.
