I finally ventured into the world of on-line racing. however couple of
meters in spa and I got cut of? what happened? I there any thing I can do?

Phil, you really need to quote what you're responding to.  Some news servers
don't display messages in the correct order.  Makes it hard sometimes to follow
the discussion.  I have a Boca external 56K, if you were talking to me...<g>

Make certain it is not a WinModem as they don't usually provide
satisfactory results with GPL.  That's why Phil asked.  If you follow
the link from vroc.net to Alison Hine's website, she has an excellent
collection of information regarding modems and their configuration for
on-line GPL racing.
