Yes it was almost the doublt in lenght, but it wasn't for the best. It was
mostly more twists and turns like the middle portion of the current circuit.
Nothing interesting, simply slow and long corners.
I like it, Jon :) Turn 3 is a blast to watch, and there it's actually a
good passing track with at least 2place for passing (before the backstretch
180 and going into the last chicane). Might be a modern track but at least
it's a fast modern track. I would still prefer Clermont-Ferrand, Rouen,
Paul Ricard or <sigh> Reims to Magny-Cours :)

Well yeah :) Not much history there I say.
There was once slow esses exiting T3 (where now you have a little stretch
going uphill). Forix.com says that the track also differed a couple of
meters in it's history, but that could simply be some little corner
differences or new track measurements.
