NR2002-Field Set Up Question

by TlgtrPr » Fri, 25 Oct 2002 23:59:03

First the parameters:  I normally race 10-15% of a race, in arcade mode,
against a field of 21 (me being 22).  I don't qualify so I always start from
the end of the pack.  I have set up a list of about 30 favorite cars to select
the field from.

Now the question:  Is there a setting in the game somewhere where I can adjust
the AI cars to be sure that a certain car is always selected to be in the
field? ( I was thinking in the screen where you adjust the various percentages
and pit crew efficency?)

The reason why:  My wife and I do each race (each does there own race) and we
would like to set up so that when one is racing the others car is always one of
the AI cars.  Any help appreciated.

In the "Opponent Manager" you can set up a roster which can have only the 21
cars that you in it. Now when you start the race use that roster for the
race.

Hope that helps.

I think its pretty random. I know they say its not, but I have tried similar
things with little success. What I tried was modifying the Ron Fellows car
so it would only show up at the road course races. I turned all his settings
down to nil except for the road course ones, and I'd still get him at
Daytona.

I think the only sure fire way too do it is to set up drivers list with 22
cars. The list would be 20 AI cars, your wife's car, and your car. That way
when your driving yours you would have 20 cars plus hers and she would have
20 plus yours.
