GPL Donation?

Hey Guys,

After a recent divorce and all, money is tight so I was wondering if anyone
has a copy of GPL that they no longer use that they could donate? And while I'm
at it, how bout a decent USB wheel?

Thanks,

  Tony.

You can get it on eBay for a few dollars.  You can afford an isp, you can
afford that <g>

Well, I certainly didn't expect the hostility or sarcasm that I have received
thus far.

Perhaps, that is partially due to my fault in the wording of my original post.
I wasn't necessarily looking for a freebie, but perhaps someone that would help
a fellow gamer out by selling said items cheap.

But, then again, I should have known better as this has always been a newsgroup
filled with arrogance, even when I used to read it religiously back in 2000.

Point taken, I retract my original request. Enough sarcasm and bashing.

Tony.

That was NOT at all clear.  I certainly thought "Yea, buddy, good luck!"
and almost posted a snotty remark as well.

You can Ebay a GPL box and wheel for next to nothing.  Voodoo5 or GF3,
~1.5 gig CPU, etc.  I'll sell you an extra, slightly used, GPL CD/book
for the $10 it cost me, plus shipping.

OTOH, I don't know if anyone has new-in-box copies for sale.  If that's
the case, Papy isn't loosing anything if you just copy a friend's
installation.

Oh, Puuuuulease!
It's actually a fairly helpful bunch.

I almost suspect this is an elaborate troll.  Now you can go sulk, and
wallow in your 'victim' status.  Good work.

I dont understand what everyone is getting upset about.

What better group to come ask for something like he wants.  Many of us
likely have updated our hardware numerous times since GPL's heyday and the
hardware required to run GPL isnt exactly cutting edge stuff.  If someone
has an old P3-900 and GF2 and T2 thats just sitting on a shelf collecting
dust why not give it up and feel good about your charity.

Many here just cant comprehend the idea of just giving away GPL, me included
;)

My point is this isnt one of those "Nigeria" type spam's so why belittle the
guy.

True, but I don't have much time for someone who gives a short of money
sob story, when they're looking for something that costs next to nothing,
all the while managing to have a pc, isp, etc.

Got money for that, got money for the rest.

Gee, can't you guys just let it go? I mean all I did was *ask* And, FWIW, I
*gave* away every driving game I owned and a USB wheel on this very newsgroup a
few years ago.

Needless to say, there was no shortage of takers for that. I was glad to do
it, because $$ wasn't everything and if someone could use it, instead of
collecting dust on my shelf then all the better.

Tony.

Sure.  How 'bout my wife and two kids and my Porsche?

Try dropping AOL and you'd save enough money to get what you want.

I mean, really, either you'll a Troll or you're an Idiot.  You can be an
Idiot without being a Troll, but if you're a Troll you must be Idiot.

One other thing you might try-- a JOB!
