I have the following system : cyrix 200mmx,(clocked to 233) 32 meg of edo
ram, graphixstar 6000 and a Orchid 4meg 3dfx card, my motherboard is a TX
pro II withbuilt in sound and garaphics card which i have disabled.

F1 sim doesnt seem to run very well, my freind has a system simular and it

the built in sound ect, he also uses the monster card.

Does f1sim benifit from the floating point ( mathscoprossesor )  and could
this be why, should i spend more money on a Intel chip, would a AMD 233 be
better than the cyrix ? how would this chip compare ?

should i get a sound  board and disable the onboard one, would this help ?

If any one can give me advice on this please, note: i havnt got loads of
money, but whate would be the best cheapest option ?

Note any tips on tweaking f1 ?

thankyou

Going from 32 to 64meg cured the first lap stutters on my machine so
it may make it run better on yours.

I am sure you will find that working through the option in the FAQ,
you will get you sim working much much better. It also has the answers for
most of your questions.

Is your friends's processor a MMX? It seems it benefits from it. I don't
know the performance differences between the AMD K6 and an Intel
processor, but the game runs very smoothly on my P208MMX (overclocked
166, 83MHz bus speed :o)) 32MB SDRAM, TX motherboard.
