F12K2 Set-ups ---> F1C?

Do the car set-ups for F12K2 work with F1C?  If so, how do you transfer
them?  (ie-where can they be found in F12K2 and where do they go into F1C?)

Thanks!

Yes and:

I would say no.  Doug Arnao totally tweaked the params in the physics files,
so despite the fact that things like the suspension geometry may be the
same, the tire model is probably completely different, so a spring rate or a
damper value would prolly have a completely different effect in F1C than any
of the "donor" pgms.  Would you like me to ask Doug?

Yes, please ask him.  I've got a bunch of set-ups that I like and would like to
just transfer them over and either re-use them or tweak them.  Of course, if
need more than a tweak or two, I might as well just start from scratch.

Thanks, Steve.

Well, surely not from scratch.  The gear-stack (prolly the part of the setup
that means the most to me) would be the same. f'rinstance.

I've emailed Doug.  Will report back here (unless he posts, altho I know
he's busy.)

Here's Doug's response:

"Definitely not.  That would be a mistake."

Bear in mind, one of the reasons everybody (well, most everybody) seems to
love F1C 02-99 so much is because it *isn't* F12K2.  That is, despite the
fact that it looks much the same, the improvements have been so extensive as
to make it feel like a whole new sim.  Many of these improvements relate to
the way the cars behave, and most of that is thanks to Doug's input.  So
take a deep breath, and reserve some track time for re-tweaking yer setups.

OK.  Thanks for the quick reply, Steve.  It was worth a shot.......
