CART Precision Racing Help!

by Peter Hoope » Thu, 15 Jan 1998 04:00:00

HI all,

I downloaded the demo version of Cart Precision Racing last night as I was desperate to see how good it was before it becomes available over here in England (early February). Everything went fine until I tried to configure it to use my T2 steering unit. I selected 'Race Car Controller' from the controls menu and it  seemed to calibrate ok, but then when trying to start a race or test a message comes up telling me that the primary controller could no be found and that it would revert to keyboard control.

I've tried re-calibrating in Windows 95 first using both the Thrustmaster Pro Panel and standard Game Controllers utilities but all to no avail. I am beginning to wonder now whether the demo only supports keyboard control although this is not mentioned anywhere.

All other racing sims recognise my T2 ok, so there isn't a problem with that.

Can anyone help???

Regards

CART Precision Racing Help!

Hi Peter,

Well, I don't have T2.  But I have the same problem before when I tried to
play MS Flight Sim 98 with my MS Sidewinder 3D Pro.  My problem was that my
sound car was interfering with my joystick.  I fixed the problem by
downloading the latest sound driver for my sound card.  First, I believe
that the CART patch would solve your problem.  However, you would not know
because the patch is only for the retail version of CART.  Perhaps, someone
in here can help you with it.  In the mean time, I suggest you to get the
latest sound driver for your sound card.  Or get to latest game device
driver for your T2.  Good luck.
