I was actually ready to pay $20, which is what the sticker indicated, but at
checkout it came to $9.99!  I don't know if this is the price nationally,
but at my local store (Tenlytown, DC) that's the deal.  So if you're waiting
for a cheap price, get it now!

I'm still obsessed with GPL and happily driving my Cooper in weekly league
races, at some point I do want to try the TA mod, so I gave in and bought
NR2003.  But first I need 7 more days in my week.

$9.99 has been the price for a while, I got one too there.  They must have
lazy workers that didn't reprice the boxes.  I find that common at Best Buy.

I know it's the red-headed step-child of racing sims but EA's NASCAR
Thunder 2004 was on sale at Best Buy for $14.99 last week.
Picked it up and am enjoying it.

I am somewhat curious about Nt 2004, only because it is probably the
closest available ISI product on what GTR will be based on.  From what SBDT
AB have talked about in press releases, they either are starting from NT or
an even newer iteration of that engine.  They talk of dedicated servers and
30 cars online, so that squashes F1c.  And they are replicating a multi
class series so it can't be anything based on the Papyrus model.
Just my speculation, no rumours or insider info...cuz...as we all
know, I ain't know(:>) insider.

It's worth picking up now that all the EA 2004 games are cheap, if
only to marvel at how shitty it is.  The engine is fine I guess (if
you like a physics engine that's tied down to the speed of the
graphics renderer) but the way the engine is used in NT2004 is horrid.

Come to think of it, you're probably better off just waiting for GTR.

Here we go again... <eg>
I have to agree...tried out the NT2004 demo and there is absolutely no
comparison to Papy in the physics engine.
It still has a verrry "arcady" feel to the game. The car doesn't sway or
feel like it has weight.
Graphics are excellent as to be expected out of something newer, but lets
face it...the "feel" is what we're all looking for and Papy has it nailed
down.
