To all those N2 veterans...

Just as everyone is happy about N3 I just got N2 today (better late than
never).
Runs fine, installed all the patches, but can't get sound to run under W98!
The sound setup program recognizes my Soundblaster card, plays even the
testing file, but still there's no sound within N2. I also changed my
autoexec.bat with a command line for the soundcard.
Please help me!
TIA-

Congratulations on getting N2.  It is truly a classic game upon which
everything since has built.

As for your problem with sound--are you trying to run the win95 version
for the dos version of the game?  I recommend the dos version.  try
uninstalling whatever you have.  Instead of going through the sierra
routine through windows, go to the cd-rom drive in a ms dos window.  use
alt-enter to make it full screen if necessary.  Use "install.exe" at the
dos prompt.  it will install the files, then run the sound setup
program.  once done, start the game through the dos prompt in whatever
directory you installed the game.

Hope this helps.  Let me know if you still have problems.
