Well, if you're not interested in car physics or graphics, nothing.

Q: What's your take on how driving an N-GT car compares with the V2.0 DTM
mod for NH that you guys used for TPTCC; say, at Mugello? I don't have Heat
on my current PC, but the RWD cars are quite similar and memory has that mod
comparing quite favorably. Am I just being sentimental?
Thx,
SB
By the way; great job, SBDT! I'm running 30 cars at the moment and getting
better FPS than with 22 F1's in the original game, and the AI seems MUCH
improved so far.
I think they are hard to compare. Heat has a different feel from the
wheel. I usually have to de-compress my driving if I've been messing with
an EA mod and then have to get ready for a TPTCC league race with
DTM-Heat.(If you peek at the standings you'll see I'm not de-compressing
very well either!)
I did run Mugello(or Muggy as I like to call it) and found the extra
detail around the track almost made it unrecognizable. Took me about 2 laps
to realize where I was.
Because of the difference in traction I think you have to drive
differently as well. With DTM I'm trying to use the brakes very
little...really just to set the car into a corner. GTR is more of the
traditional brake/turn/accell feel. I think with DTM 2.3 you can get away
with more overdriving, you will kill your laptime--but you won't swap ends.
With GTR I've driven too hard into a turn and gone 'round several times
already.
IF we could reliably get the pack sizes in GTR that we have in Heat..I'd
probably vote for a switch after the season was over...but You need a
commercial line for that. Due to the unfinished nature of the dtm mod,
eveyone is kinda driving pretty much the same car...the variety in GTR is
great..although I suspect you'd have to PAY folks to join an online pickup
race with an NGT car.(Just watch how many rotten-scumbag-neoAliens take an
Ngt and smash my Viper times!)
