I am using V1.21 of NASCAR with the add-on tracks installed.

I recently found and downloaded the Winston Cup car set and tried adding
it into NASCAR. I copied the files (the 2 driver and 1 data file) into a
sub-directory of CARS called IWCCCARS, launched NASCAR, went to DRIVER
INFO and chose add IWCCCARS car set. Then I go to a track to try them out
but when I launch the track the program crashes (register shows
c:\games\nascar\rol).

Then I try to launch NASCAR again. I get as far as the Papyrus logo
screen and the program bombs back to the command prompt and says "Unable
to load CARS. Incomplete installation or not enough memory?". Well the
problem is NOT not enough memory. I am using a boot that provides in the
order of 625 kb free and there is no extended memory manager loaded.

I have tried other add in car sets with the same problem.

I have tried re-installing NASCAR and still get the same result.

Does anyone know what's wrong? Is there a fix?

Okay, it sounds like you are doing everything right.  I suspect that the files
you downloaded may be bad.  Move them out of your IWCCCARS directory and
instead copy over the REAL Nascar car set. (cars94)  Then load the game and
choose the car set and see if it still crashes.

If so, write down what the error message is and let us know.  The error Can't
load ROL(1) is usually indicitive of a missing CD-Rom driver, or a missing CD.
(ie CD not in drive)
