2nd N2 patch

The 2nd N2 patch was great.  Everytime I get an e-mail about the patch it
is someone saying that the patch worked great and I should thank Papyrus
for them (as if I have any contact wityh them)  I have heard nothing but
great words about the new patch and I think most of you whiners need to
apologize to Papyurs.  But, my T2 still doesn't work right.  I have
calibrated and calibrated and fiddled with this and fiddled with that.  My
T2 still doesn't work.  The bad thing is that I am just about the only one
with problems like this.  Now, I doubt Papyrus will give me the time of day
to send me a patch to fix my problem so I can continue racing and post
setups and track maps and tips on my page and even run the NRO, NROS, and
NASNET racing stuff.  But I can't.  And if they don't help me out then I
will be forced to quit N2 racing, quit my N2 page (R.P.M.), and even retire
completely from all this nonsence.  I spent alot of time with N1, and then
converted to N2 at the same time as ***racing sportscenter, SPEED, and
Alex's NASCAR Pitshop.  I was really pleased with the N2 game before the
patch.  And ever since, I haven't traveled more than 2 laps at any track.
I think I deserve some help on my T2 problem.  What it is doing is it is
too jerky.  I try to finess the car at dega and the thing jerks back and
forth making some very slow speeds.  All the other tracks aren't as bad but
traffic racing is out for me.  So please, help.

Chris,

Are you using N2 under Windows 95 by any chance? If so, could you give it a
shot from the DOS command-line? You can get there by hitting F8 when you
boot the machine, or by selecting MSDOS from the shutdown menu.

I've heard from Thrustmaster that there is a problem in the Win95 joystick
routines that may interfere with the T2's operation.

description of your problem. Charlie was instrumental in creating the
second patch and has taken a personal interest in the joystick-related
problems.
