EB, Game, HMV, ... many of these stores were certainly selling the game
earlier this year. In the case of EB/Game they were selling it as a twin
pack with Grand Prix Manager 1.

There's a big difference between abandonware & warez.  Sheesh.

Abandonware is nothing new, there has been multiple cases of the law about
it.  There is a sense of "archiving" that those people try to create with
abandonware.  They are not doing anything as if they were bad people..
There is nothing else then entertainment and pleasure to be taken from those
games, there's no money to do anymore.

Just check out websites like The Underdogs or Mame, which are known by every
publisher on the planet yet they try to make available many pre-Win95 games,
unless the developper still has that title in the shelves (LucasArts,
Sierra, etc..).  Even if they say "we are ok with that", it's technically
illegal by the law, but everybody is concent morally to say it's legal.

Hey, it's like pot in Canada <VBG>  ;)
