O/T--Time for a new mobo, suggestions ??

I think I am due for a new mobo. I bought a new vid card and get some
serious graphical issues. I believe the problem may be that the card is
faster than my AGP slot is. Card is like an 8x and the slot 4x. Running an
ATI 9000 pro 128m now, bought an ATI 9550 256m card. With the 9550 installed
my pop-ups are garbled, games are an absolute mess, NOOOO way of playing as
the screen is just FUBAR. I resigned myself to buying a new mobo now to keep
the system at least a little updated. I am on a rather small budget, so can
some of you give me real world suggestions?? I will have 2 sticks of DDR ram
(512m), an Athlon XP 1700+ (1.5g) socket A CPU, Turtle beach PCI sound and a
2 port USB card as well that I will be transfering. Obviously I need a board
that will support some older hardware as well as updated enough to run new
hardware. My budget will be like $150CDN. If someone knows of a good deal on
a board with chip I am open to a few dollars more.  Thanks all.......I am
pretty illiterate when it comes to the whole mobo thing, so I figured coming
to you pros would save me the scratching head and the "deer in the
headlights" look when I am asked what I am looking for. I just want the best
I can get for the pricepoint I am in.
