Mark,

Have you tried using GPL Spy Boy instead of a web browser to connect
to races? That helped a lot for me.

I believe that Mark uses just GSB, but another thought..
Have you tried joining directly via IP number ??

Just clutching at straws !!

Joe.
I used to live at GSB. I've also tried vroc and direct ip connection, all
with the same results.

That bites. I had the same problems with 1.1 at first, so I know how
frustrating it can be. Hopefully the next patch will clear it up (I
realize that doesn't help you much now).

I know this may sound kooky, Mark, but have you tried redownloading the
patch? First time out I got a bad one. I'm sure of it. I went through a bit
of the same you did and when I finally reD/Led the sucker it worked. I did
many reinstalls and new drivers before getting a new patch. So I'm sure. I
still get the occasional no lap time or black flag but nothing discouraging.
