Give me a word to spell.  Then tell me to use it in a sentence.   I'll
show you a perfect example of why the US school system was and is no
good.  But, that's politics..

        You're right, I screwed up :-)

Great initiative, I will join in someday, but isn't race start at 23:30 GMT a
but too late, thats 01:30 central european daylight saving time. (Or GMT +2 in
the summer, UK is GMT +1, and GMT +1 in the winter, UK is GMT +0).

So, racing hard for two hours from 1:30 to 3:30 is maaayybbbeee pushing it a
bit.

Just my opinion....

Micheal uses GMT to indicate UK time... midnight CET. We had to abort the
testrace last Saturday once because of a wrecker and after a restart I ended
up hauling my ass across the finish line at 3.25am. Which is late, very
late. I'd like to see earlier starts too, but I guess it's at the hosts
discretion.

F2's are fun!  However,  I like the under powered cars much better.  If
there was a smoother power hit between the F2's and F3's, I'd do more F2
racing.  As it stands now, What I don't like is...

In F3, power out put is pretty much even across the RPM range from idle
to max. (2000 - 6000(?)).  In F2,  The power out put is the same between
2000 - 6000, but the moment you hit 6001 rpm it's like a turbo charger
gets kicked in till the F2 max rpm of 8000(?) rpm.  then again with the
F1's from 8000 - 1100.

If the transaction in the power was smoother,  I'd have a better time
accepting it.  That's why when the post was made.. "what would you
change in GPL?" I answered.. "to use the full 2000 - 1100 rpm range for
the lower formula cars.

I'm not really in to open wheeled cars.  I'd rather be racing sedans.
But since GPL is the only Sim that gives me a feel for what the car is
doing,  I'll stick with GPL F3's.  I hope that when N4 hit's the
shelves, we'll be able to drive the 4 cylinder cars :)

I raced in the first NROS competition. The preliminary rounds weren't too
bad as I could get a race that started shortly after midnight. But in the
finals, the races started at either around 2:30am or 4:30am UK time. I
wouldn't really recommend it ;-)

Come on Mike, how about a 20:00 GMT start time, or can you only beat we
Euros when we are knackered? <g>

Cheers,
Richard

I've never been able to race online since it arrived. Black flags, no
recorded times, cars warping into the ether for half a lap at a time, ...you
name it, it happens and keeps me out of races.

I've tried every conceivable core.ini, mtu setting, and dun tweak. Yes, I've
read all the stuff on the VROC site and all the faq stuff elsewhere.  on
friday night, Asgeir, Jan and myself tried a troubleshooting session until
the dawn chorus started singingbut to no avail . Six weeks of this and I'm
resigned to racing offline for the forseeable future. Not a good posision to
be in when you consider that I run a league and was hoping for a good
campaign in the GMSS founders cup. Nothing seems to help. I guess that my
online career is finished.

Last night we did a test at Asgeir's server using 1.0 and everything was
rock solid again. Go figure...we couldn't

He's badly affected by the patch (extremely warped and invisible for most of
the time) and two very, very late nights of troubleshooting haven't helped
shit. We were about to blame his connection when we reverted to 1.0 for a
race and lo and behold: he was solid as a rock.  Very frustrating indeed fro
someone who loves his online racing (and has already completed and online
Watkins Glen GP).

Maybe he could try that DUN stuff Pickard posted.
