Got GTR...tweaks, addons, etc?

Just received GTR last Thurs., (of course, same day Brothers in Arms is
released) and have been enjoying it right out of the box. Is there a
list of or links for tweaks for GTR? I'm sure that using the ISI engine
that there will be <some> changing needed. Overall I am quite impressed
with the 1.3 version, little stuttering, excellent gfx and sound and
well done default setups (for me anyway).

Thanks.

Hmm, I found the included setups -very- understeery....

There's nothing that really sticks out in my mind as far as addons go.
There's a few new skins etc but in any case, my advice is to download a
program called 'GTR Manager' which is what most people use to release their
addons.  It allows you to download zip files with addons from the community
and install/uninstall them with ease.  Pretty impressive really.

Many...most...of the add-on trax, so far, are pants.  The big ones (Nurby,
Le Mans) are out in multiple vers, each worse than the last.  The best
venues are the little club trax, particularly those done by IDT (Independent
Developer Team): Falkenberg (a gem), Norisring (ditto), North Point (from
SCGT), Chatham (ditto), Metro (converted by somebody else), and Scotland's
wee Knockhill (a 3rd-party original).

Virtually all the trax now avail are conversions, most from F1C, some from
SCGT, some from Toca.  Among the ones I like: Austria's A1-Ring (not the
Oesterreichring), Assen, Road America, Dijon (a wicked little track),
Phillip Island (Aussie V8 Supercars!), and the full Indy oval (quite a setup
challenge!).

There are a slew of conversions and original tracks in the pipeline, but
most modders are waiting for the international release...which has yet to be
announced (hopefully by this summer).

There are no new cars (we're all praying for the BMW M3 V8, Aston Martin
GTR, McLaren F1 3-seater, etc., but no word yet), but there are a ton of new
skins for the dozen or so cars that shipped with the game.

The homely little Lotus Elise is great fun to blast around the short and/or
city trax (Monaco, Knockhill) online, and somebody is working on a mod that
re-skins 25 of the little ***s for club racing.  There is already such a

Thanks guys!

One question....the "international" version, what is that? There was
the German (original) release and then this past week the "English"
(UK/US I assume) was released. Wasn't that made available everywhere?
What is the difference? Just wondering.

I also heard about the "King of Rings" release by Simbin.

So far the game is only sold in Germany, England, maybe a few other Euro
countries and Japan.  No U.S., Canadian, or The Rest of the World
release...yet.

They need to clean up the Net code before they bother with effing *ovals*
ferchrissake....
