Most of your SIM-racers will probably stay away from this game just on
principle but in case you were toying with the idea of getting this
game - DON'T!

It is HORRIBLE!

No matter how good a system you have or what 3D cards you have you can
only play at 640x480.

3Dfx/D3D SUCKS - the game LOOKS horrible.  Unaccelerated Indycar and
Nascar look better than this lemon.

Obviously somebody found a shitty driving game in the dumpster and
decided to put Jeff Gordons name on it and try to sell a few copies.

I can't imagine anybody liking this game - it's ugly - control is
horrific - I can't think of one redeeming thing this game has.

I uninstalled this game after 1 lap and even ran REGEDIT to make sure
there was NOTHING remaining from this turkey.  I can't imagine the PSX
version being any better and I'm certainly not going to risk trying
it.

Well, not to confuse matters but I kinda liked it. It is undoubtedly
_utter_ arcade, little wings popping out of your car when you take
off, etc etc, but the racing is pretty fun over a LAN and there's
enough driving finesse required to allow a good driver to leave behind
a bad one.

Overall I'd say that like Rollcage or Powerslide it's quite fun for a
few plays at a LAN evening with your Quake loving mates, but don't
expect to be playing next year (or next month, perhaps even next
week...!).

Cheers!

At least THAT part makes sense.

Maybe if you're a sim racer with a whiny, nasal voice and no upper lip....  :-)
