How so LOL? it's reviews as it stands, an arcade racer. :)

isn't this what ppl were complaining about before? Sim's not being reviewed as
sims?

Unless the release was significantly improved from the earlier demo, then
the LOL is because it sucked as an arcade racer.

I Liked How "Hands On" Gordon Was In This Production.....I Must Have
Heard..."Rubbins Racing" About 10 Million Times...

After That One....Needless To Say I got sick of pepsi

There speaks someone who never played it on a LAN. As a LAN game (with
a load of GPL-challenged mates) it's actually kinda fun. The concept
is nice, the graphics are okay, but it does capture a sort of frenetic
attitude that makes the racing fun.

It doesn't push the buttons of sim fans obviously, but that doesn't
mean it's all bad.

Cheers!

I found the graphics HORRIBLE and the gameplay even worse.  This game wasn't
even worth the $1.25 it would have cost me to copy it to a blank CD before I
returned the sucker.  I exchanged it for Midtown Madness and have been TOTALLY
***ED to that awesome game for weeks now.

Gordon lost whatever credibility he had left with this lemon.

There you go - horses for courses. I was totally ***ed to Midtown
Madness for hour or so that it took to sink in that it was very samey
and not rewarding to drive, and haven't been back to it since.

Admittedly I'd never have played Jeff Gordon at all if I hadn't been
on a LAN (and haven't looked at it since) but it was fun at the time.
Most fun was actually the demo of Breakneck - the weapons are a lovely
addition, can I have homing missiles on my Brabham please...? :-)

Cheers!

I suspect if this were an arcade rather than a sim racing group things MIGHT
be different.  It's your basic arcader which for me is proving fun.  Some of
the tracks suck, however and I don't see me playing it as long as I have
been Viper Racing (THE BEST) and suggest that people wait until the price
drops.  40 bucks is too much for this trout.  It IS a blast on a lan though
and good for lunch meetings ;o)

To each his own...
