RC 2000 Strange

I cannot install the game.everything with the computer seems fine but when I
try to install THIS GAME I get right away a:
Fatal exception 0E has occurred at 0028:C16B30A3 in vxd AU30 wave (01) +
00014523.
Their site offer no tech support.
Can somebody help???

  All I can guess is a soundcard problem.  the vxd AU30 I would think
refers to an Aureal Soundcard driver.  If you have an Aureal card, do you
have the last set of drivers that were produced before the company went
bust??
