HI,

I remember seeing/reading somewhere that there is a camera view that
allows you to view the reply from above (like "micro machines"), so
that you can check how much of the track you use through the corners.

Anybody any ideas if i've just gone mad or does this exist ?????????

I've seen it, but darned if I can remember where. But, can't you see the line
you take from the chase view?

That's the view TV2 is at Anderstorp.

It is actually a completley separte replay angles, I have it, but as said by
others, have NO idea where I got it from.

Search for a car cam utility. There exists a utility that will let you
reconfigure all the car cameras. Use it to move one of those views that
you never use to the position you want.

Is it possible to change the angle and/or position of the camera used during
races, or only the camera choices used in replays? When I'm learning a new
track, I like to run a few laps in chase mode so I can get a better view of
the road ahead, but I'd like to be able to adjust the angle and position of
the camera a bit.

Going from distant memory; in the [personal information] stanza of your player.ini file, you can change drivingView = 1 to
drivingView = 12, giving you the rollbar view, IIRC. Since you can adjust this view with the carcam editor, this should give you
the tweakability you want. If you hit F10 while driving, it will revert to the standard views, and you'll have to re-edit your
player.ini file.

PS - I think all this can be done with the GPLForever Camera Control Master, as well.

I've got a couple of car cams on my web page

that have the overhead view. Just rename it to the car make you want to
use it on.

Also, the GPLforever Camera Control Manager allows you to fly round
courses and place the camera wherever you like.

Thanks, all, i'll try the options and see what happens.

Eldred, the main reason for asking this was the item i originally saw
seemed to offer a better view, and being as my cornering is a bit
doggish i thought it might help.
