Force Feedback Wheels

(snip)

I DID read it, several times. I have a printed copy sitting next to me on my
desk!

Another poster mentioned this wheel has a MIR and I'm just trying get a
clarification if it does or does not without wasting my time at CompUSA. The
website ad normally links to any MIR's for the advertised product.....this
time it does not.

I'm trying to avoid the potential hassle of a MIR since *most* CompUSA
advertised rebates go to TCA (non)Fulfillment Center in New Rochelle, New
York.

That company(?) has one of THE worst track records of delaying valid rebates
and also has an unsatisfactory BBB rating. They have even been fined by the
New York Sate Attorney General's Office and yet they haven't significantly
changed their business practices for the better.

The truth is out there. You just have look in the right places and ask the
right questions.

Not to worry, there is no rebate.  I printed out the coupon and took it to
CompUSA last night.  $69.99.

I haven't even gotten a chance to unpack and try out the wheel though...  :)

Okay, I called CompUSA and was told by one of their reps that it's not a
rebate, it is in fact an in store sale price. Go get 'em!!

I have a terrible memory. In fact my memory's so bad I can't remember how
long it's been since I've forgotten anything.

Oops. Forgot to mention that you need the coupon to get that price. Sorry
for the confusion.

It's not a rebate.  It's a special "Ad Only" sale.  You have to print out
the Ad and take it with you to the store.  Think Coupon.

Thanks to everyone who actually answered the question I was asking!

To all others: I fully understand coupons and the need to print
Comp(uke)USA's "unadvertised" specials. However, none of what you said about
coupons, printing, or providing links came anywhere near to answering the
relatively simple question I asked.

The reason I asked about the MIR situation is I have 2 overdue rebates on
products purchased at Comp(uke)USA. Neither the store or their corporate
office seem to have any concern for their responsibility in getting these
rebates fulfulled even though they advertised and provided the necessary
forms!

Based on that experience I would rather not deal with anymore Comp(uke)USA
rebates.

Now that I know that a MIR is NOT involved I can go to Circuit City and get
a 110% price match and avoid Comp(uke)USA entirely.

Thanks again to everyone who took the time to understand my question. I do
appreciate the responses.
