I installed a digital gameport from www.pdpi.net last night.  It seems to have
improved my frame rate on GPL by about 5 or 6 fps.  That's on a PII300 with 96
RAM and a voodoo2.  The gameport is less than $100, so it's cheap upgrade
compared to buying a PII450.

or get a digital gameport, 3d sound, hardware midi and hardware sound
accelleration in a diamond mx300 for less.
