Does anybody have any idea why my car dissapears for a few seconds when
going down the "corkscrew" at Laguna Seca only?  Any similar experiences?

Thanks in advance,

Mike

: Yep.  It's a known bug.  Papyrus knows about this and I think they are
: going to make a patch soon.

I don't think it's a bug.  I think Papyrus has been secretly working with
the Romulans to develop the first gasoline-powered cloaking device.

Read the README file where you installed ICR2.  In there it mentions
the "cloaking" effect, esp. in arcade views.  Papyrus fessed up at the
start but I don't know the progress of a fix (if any).

I believe that in the readme there is a mention of the car
disappearing momentarily in the Corkscrew at Laguna Seca
when using the overhead ARCADE views.

I believe that I read something in the readme about the
car momentarily disappearing in the Corkscrew at Laguna
Seca when using the overhead ARCADE view.

Those Romulans are gonna be pretty pissed off when they discover
that IndyCars aren't powered by gasoline.

i've noticed the same thing (in both arcade modes) the only thing that
saves me is that the computer always keeps the car in the center of the
screen so all i do at the corkscrew is keep the road's center in the
center of the screen until my car reappears. what's your method for this?

I was going to ask this too. I remember odd mentions of this from ICR
but assumed such a "bug" would have gone.

What's so complex about the corkscrew for replays, arcade views, etc?

And why do the skid-marks at the top of the hill lie about 30 cms above
the road?

Does significant elevation changes upset the 3D graphics system?

Cheers!

It's a known problem - I guess you didn't read the README.TXT supplied
with ICR2? <G>

Disappearing in an ICR is simple, flying with it is easier (also possible with
ICR2!)
