Uh-oh.  I haven't tried FUIII yet since I changed cards.  Gonna have to
check that out this weekend!  :-/

You may not want to wait.  I upgraded from 6.35 to 6.50 and got a 20% increase
in fps across the board in all my games.  These are highly optimized drivers.  I
can't say how much you will gain coming up from 6.48 but any improvement is an
improvement.

I advice you to take some time and use some different drivers. You've just
bought the best graphics card around, believe me.

I was a big 3DFX fan once, but honestly their product can't match the
Geforces.

I'll check which drivers I'm using in Win98 and post it later on. I don't
change drivers all the time, I just upgrade them now and then and it works
absolutely fabulous. Best investments I ever did. (and I didn't even buy an
Ultra but a Asus pure one).

spoke:

Not if you play older glide games like JF15 or Longbow2. A V5 matches
a Geforce2 Ultra even if you play Unreal Tournament, and that's in D3D
mode. In Glide mode it surpasses it. You see, it all comes down to the
games you play that is the determining factor in just which card is
the best for you.

But, it can surpass it in FSAA quality. I've owned a Geforce2 and
dumped it for a Voodoo5. I didn't make a mistake for my needs.

You chose wisely - the ultra only edges out the regular GTS if you have a 1Ghz
processor (or faster) or play everything at 1600x1200
