Gameport/Usbport issues.......

by Brian Fo » Tue, 22 Dec 1998 04:00:00

I recently had a USB adapter installed in my p200mmx, and a couple days
after I had it installed, my soundcard kicked the bucket (speaker jack
creating static in speakers).  I didn't test out my gameport before the
first soundcard died, but both the Logitech FF (the reason I bought the usb
port) and the T2 showed up as OK in the game controllers menu.  After
putting in the new SB16 waveffects, my midi keyboard doesn't work, and my T2
just says "not connected".  There is a creative gameport in the device
manager, and it says it's working properly, but obviously something's wrong.
Any ideas?

In the Game Controllers advanced tab, make sure you have your gameport
selected in the Port Driver.
