DDR means "dual data rate". Meaning that data is clocked on both
rising and falling edge of the memory clock. So if the clock is
running at 100Mhz, (from rising edge to rising edge, or from falling
edge to falling edge) then the memory can be accessed at 200Mhz.
Non-DDR memory cannot do this. 100Mhz clock = 100 Mhz accesses.
