Until then, SHUT UP.

That shouldn't be a prob. sinse the two guys you named in your post are
not in NASCAR anyway. Better check the grammar :)

BTW, i'm sure if you develop the code to achieve this and send it to
Ed he would take a look at it.

He was just emphasizing his point about licensing and copyright issues,
hence the fictitious names that bare a remarkable resemble to those of
actual Winston Cup drivers. I found it kinda humorous myself.

Well, I think that's a bit misleading. What he wants could technically be done,
it would take time to download a new carset before every race though. The big
issue is copyright violation. Suppose I painted up a car with some corporate
logo on it, let's use Coca Cola as an example. Using their logo without
permission is illegal right there. Even if I could get consent to use the logo,
Papyrus would have to check every single new car, and i'm sure some people
would upload a new car every day or week. Again, it could be done, but it would
add to the cost of the service. I'll take a cheaper rate over an individualized
car any day of the week.
Someone mentioned the idea of having individualized taillight panels, so you
could personalize your car each race and people could identify you better. I
really really like this idea, it's doable (IMO) and a good compromise.
I also hope the Lenient Loans car from the Hawaii carset makes it into the
final online service, it's my favorite. :-)
I've seen a number of negative posts directed to Papyrus
lately, and I would like to voice my opinion.I'm sure I speak for
many, when I say to all of you at Papyrus, that no other software
company has provided us with anywhere near the amount of
enjoyment that you have.Your simulations are truly incredible
accomplishments.I for one,can appreciate the monumental amount
of time and effort it takes to create a program of this scope.
Making any simulator is a logistical nightmare, and racing is
especially difficult because of the large number of variables
that need to be dealt with. The fact that you have achieved this
goal with such a high level of success,is a tribute to your skill,
intelligence, and ingenuity.I am just one voice in a vast sea of
millions, but I hope you take some satisfaction in knowing that
you have given me a huge amount of pure pleasure.Thank-you
Papyrus, for all you have done, for all of us racing fans.
