He is the 2.5 version of Geoff.  I have decided to change his name.

who cares if it is 30 or 25 fps  - as long as it's stable 25 fps is very
smooth

There a big different between 25 fps and 40 fps.

>But you _can_ drive from the outside view, just like in GP2.

There was an outside view in GP2?  I honestly didn't know that.  I never even
LOOKED for it...

Never argue with an idiot.  He brings you down to his level, then beats you
with experience...

Dunno, I think that's in. I already had a puncture and a transmission
problem. I've seen the same for AI cars.

With the setup option you're not pre-determining which failures
_will_  happen, but which _can_ happen. There is still a random
factor on when/where or whether they will happen at all.

What he means is: if you start this same race again (from the same
saved game), will the failure happen in exactly the same spot? That
was the case in GP2.

Ahh I see. Dunno, have to check it out. Spot meant to position on the
track or time, or both?

I think he means to cheat, like we used to do in Quake.
Save-run-save-run-reload-run again-save-etc :)

Probably the same lap at least?

In exactly the same spot. I do not mean to cheat, but this
little "feature" casts a very dark shadow on the internal
simulation engine IMHO.

cheers,
