More important is what it *doesn't* do. It doesn't put your brakes on to
slow you down and it doesn't keep them on for an eternity after you've
gotten off the wall. So if you just lightly brush the wall, you don't lose
that much speed. If you really rub against it, you get slowed down
significantly (especially in the corners). But when you get off the wall,
you can accelerate immediately.

I've never been too inclined in paying more than $150 for a video card. Who
knows though, if the performance is right.
