F1 Racing Championship

Havent heard much on the full version of this one as yet. Anyone bought the
full version, any verdicts? I am thinking about getting F1RC, but if the
reviews and views says its ***I'm might go and get F12000 Championship
Season instead (the EA one)?

Thanks,
Matt.

I bought F1RC. I think it's a very good F1 sim, but the computer AI is very
very poor.
Ubisoft claimed, that they would release a patch to correct this problem on
March 22.

The retailversion has many other problems (bad wheel handling, poor sound
..) but believe me,
it's has the best looking track grafics available.

F1-2000 from EA is bullshit. Don't waste your money.

The best racing sims are:

1.) GPL
2.) GP3
3.) F1 Racing Championship (with better AI it could jump up to place 2)
4.) Colin Mc Rae 2
5.) Toca 2
6.) Need for Speed - Porsche

Nascar 4 is not yet available in germany :-(
I think, it could on place 4 or 5.

I wonder if EA Sports will bring out a F12001 soon?  After all F1 2000 came
out last March and they seem to have no problems releasing several versions
of their soccer games every year.

F1RC has awesome tracks and Car models, but it somehow feels like
watching a race on TV instead of racing yourself. It makes for a great
arcade game though, probably the best F1 game if you're into external
camera views and ghost mode hotlapping,  and don't take your PC-Racing
serious. But you'll have to live with extremely poor sounds...

If you want to have fun racing AI cars and don't mind the graphics not
making full use of polygon pumping next-gen gfx cards (but still look
great), then get GP3. It is very drivable and the only sim where you
can run a satisfying full championship season against the AI without
game breaking bugs and annoyances.

If you like hotlapping and you have a powerful Machine get F1
Championship Season with the All Chassis Patch. In its patched form it
is by far the best F1 driving sim out there currently.

Judging by the demo F1 2000 Championship season is 1000% better than the
original F1 2000.  I was quite surprised how much better it is.

Due out mid-season last time I saw anything on it.
