I had a similar experience with Mosport - once you get in the rhythm the
seconds just drop right off. Watch Greger's replay - I'm 4 seconds slower
than him (of course) but I use his setup. I matched his shifts and my times
improved a ton.

What does the trick?
Congrats Eldred, you'll be smiling for a week. It's great isn't it? Progress in
this game comes so hard it really feels like an acomplishment to move ahead in
it. You've now beaten the time of one of the standard replays, Monza. It was
also my first, and felt like such a break through. I thought "I can do this"
and it really motivated me to go after the rest. Sub Zero is next Eldred, go
for it!

Mexico was kind enough to give me a new pb! (just over half a second).

When I first tried it in GPL, I could only do it at Monza. That's where the
1:30.53 came from. When I tried it recently, I couldn't stay on the track.
Then I got F1 2K from Ebay. I tried it in that sim(I was pissed at GPL). I
figured - EVERYTHING is new, so it couldn't hurt. After I came back to GPL, it
didn't seem so hard then...<shrug>
I'd say switching braking gained me about a second or so on each track. The
leaps I took last night must have been due to the Lotus - HAD to be.
