Apparently TEN's PR department knows more than Sierra/Papyrus about the
upcoming 3dfx version of Nascar 2.... From TEN's NASCAR Racing Online
Series News...
"On Thursday, March 5, we are planning on releasing new game enablers
for NROS. These new enablers should fix some of the types of booting
problems and should make the Rendition version more stable. At this
time we should also release a 3Dfx-specific game enabler."
NASCAR racers reply on TEN's NASCAR newsgroup, "Huh? This is a pleasant
surprise. But, how can there be a 3dfx-enabler for a game that does not
have a 3dfx version?"
"weaseboy" of TEN followed up on TEN's NASCAR newsgroup...
"Papyrus is planning on releasing the 3DFX patch this week. If they do,
then we will be releasing a 3DFX version for online use as well. It is
currently in testing."
