Wanna feel like it's REALLY real racing?

Get a 22" Monitor :)

I just got a Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 2060u 22" monitor and it's a totally
different experience.  It's almost feels like I'm sitting at one of my
favorite Arcade sit-down's, Hard Drivin' (and Hard Racin').

I'm running all my sims (that support it) at 1600X1200 16bit 100hz refresh.

Really fine Monitor too, btw...

Hehe :)

I made one typo...

The refresh rate at 1600X1200 is 85Hz.  Whoopie :)  Most can't make it past
68 or 75 at this resolution, and it doesn't drop to 75hz until you get all
the way to 2048X1280 !

This is a REALLY killer display.

Larry.....what is the "dot pitch" on that monitor?

Also...would you mind providing a model number and an approximation of what
you paid for it (and from where)?

I have to buy seven monitors here shortly......so I'm researching this issue
this coming week.  Currently, I'm using NEC FE1250+ (21" with 20.25 viewable
and .24 pitch) since the KDS 21" monitors are no longer made.  But, I had to
make the choice of this NEC unit "on the fly" since it came in the middle of
the computer contraction...and was "last minute" when I found out the KDS
units would no longer be made.

You info would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Tom Pabst

What the hell are you talking about?

It IS .24, uniform across the screen.

Tom,

Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 2060u.

$899 at MicroCenter.

That's pretty much the average price it's selling for.  However, I paid the
tax and picked it up locally to save the (substantial) shipping charges and
since I am very picky about my displays, I wanted it easy to take back and
exchange if necessary.

It's .24 uniform across.  It's Aperture grille, though, as it's a
DiamondTron.

Text is perfectly legible at 1600X1200.

Average?  That's damn expensive to me.  Must be nice to have that kind of
money...

I have a Nokia 445Xpro, 3 years old and still kicking ass
$1200

But for the money, the ViewSonic GS815s are pretty good 21" monitors for
around $800
They are the same 20" viewable as the 22" model and they are short depth
The are not flat-screen but Im one of those ***guys that can see the two
lines
