rec.autos.simulators

I tried playing GP2 in the direct link mode last night...what a blast!!
This was the first time I had tried any game this way, and I think am now
going to get a lot more life from some games I discarded long ago.

Anyway, I read in the manual that in direct link mode, there is an option
in Quick Race to just have head to head.  ie.  no AI cars.  However, I
couldn't find this anywhere in the menus.  Come to think of it, I wasn't
able to use any of the CTRL-<X> functions either.  

Are the Quck Race H2H, and CTRL functions only avaliable in Modem linked
play, is it an oversight on my part, or they they features that never made
version 1?
