Rally 2k penalties?

I've been posting good times but getting behind in the standings.   Do they
hit you with penalties for driving over those markers (clink!) or something?
One of the end screens shows me ahead by 2 minutes, but then I'm like 10th
in the standings.

Not sure why that is but maybe you are looking at the wrong side of the
screen, you might be 2 minutes behind!?!?!

Any cahnce of that, if not then you might ahve a problem!

Rally 2k penalties?

There are several 'end screens'. Maybe you are first in the class leaderboard,
but 10th on the overall leaderboard? Or you are first in the stage, but 10th in
the rally? And there aren't any penalties, except for starting before the
countdown is done. But in that case you will notice it immediatelly.

There are two rally leaderboards, one for whatever class youre racing in
plus an overall leaderboard. If youre racing in the A5 or A6 classes then
this sounds about right.

The arcade like 'best times' board was throwing me off.  I did finally come
in first on a stage though.  ***y scary it was.
