Does some1 here know when this patch will
be release.
Because race in the external views without have speed
and time lap is so a shame.
I had e-mail EA many times but, as usual, no responses
from these stupid ***es.

  My point being....

Somebody DEMANDS something from a publisher.  Then they
insult them, even if the insult may have merit, it boggles
me that folks get so upset they result to name calling to
try and coerce action.
I merely used his words against him.  If that makes me a drag.
so-be-it.  Thanks for the input.

Nah.  Dave was totally appropriate due to the poster's insulting nature
upon those who's help he was requesting.  Respect can be a two way
street...

Fair enough, and point taken.  But if that was your point, you might have
expressed it a bit more clearly instead of excoriating those who race
"outside the***pit" (myself sometimes included) in a desperate attempt to
get reasonable framerates.

I have the right to insult EA because i paid a tons of money for
their games which aren't be finished when they released them.
I am waiting for the patch because i am angry about the fact that
they prefer to release a piece of game too soon just in order to sell
maximums copies.
And when we pay a licensed game , i think (and it's written in the notice)
that we have the right to have a technical support.
But they are the only editor who never answered the e-mails or, when they
do that, they only advise you to phone to a (very expensive) support number.
WHAT A SHAME, don't you think ?
It's all i would like to mention after your post.

  A good reply.
After your original post, I'm gonna wander off topic here, I thought of
Longbow2.  It has a fixed***pit and one similar to what you prefer but
the gauges are very tough to read.  I prefer the Fixed view, but I have
a friend who often flies multiplayer and he likes the Padlocked view.
He routinely finds and kills targets much quicker than I.  So I'm
guessing the Padlock view in LB2 is similar to the***pit view you
prefer.
Sorry for jumping down your throat.  We have many levels of
Customer service from the different companies that supply sims
and it's easy to become frustrated when a LARGE company like EA
won't match the service levels we have received from other
companies.

I agree 100%.  Part of the "contract" we enter into when purchasing
their product is a "right" to any needed tech support.  That you would
be angry can also be understood.  I'm just concerned that possibly the
reason you didn't hear back from them may have been due to an insulting
or derogatory hue in your message to them.  That would also be
understandable, especially if it was anything like your original post.
=-)  If you can see how that post came off to some folks, myself
included, maybe you see where I'm going with this.  However, I have no
beef with you.  Good luck in your quest for EA tech support.  Just
remember to keep your patience with them in your letters.  ;-)

You never have the right to insult anyone...and don't forget that
the problem you've with the game isn't the work of tech support..
You should be angry at yourself, because you didn't invest enough
time BEFORE you bought F1-2000....

I'm sorry but how can i know on the game box that there are
a big bug in the game (a lot of graphics weren't introduce
in the game like speed, lap time, flags, etc... on the screen.
For the respect of the players who buy the game, EA has to
quickly release the patch.
And no answer by their technical support is a shame.
What is the goal of a technical support ?
TO SUPPORT the buyers of the game.
But they don't do anything !?!

P.S: Thanks to Dave and Chuck.

You can't judge a game by the box.

Agreed.

Agreed again.

To support you with TECHNICAL issues. Missing
features aren't their cup of tea...

They should respond, I agree with that...

Of course, i am not stupid, i haven't judge the potential
of the game with the box.
I have read a lot of previews on the net.
But any of them mention all the bugs.

But i don't talk about missing features.
When you look in the graphics files in your HD
in the F1 2000 directory (by example gizmo.mas)
you will see that a tons of features are present but
not in the game.
(congartulations cups after a win, speed and lap time
on the screen with the external views, etc...)
EA has to release the patch very soon.

Dave,

I know some very fast drivers who prefer the outside view in GPL, Colin
Taber being one of them. And if you've been around long enough, you know
just how fast Colin is.
