I have just downloaded the N2 patch and get this error message:

error ept0036:Old file not found.However,a file of the same name was
found.No update done since file contents do not match.

If any else has this problem and fixes please let me know how

First off, make sure you got the right version of the patch.  Version 1.0
and 1.1 of N2 use slightly different 4-bit textures for the the night
version of C***te, thus the appropriate patch is needed.  You'll also
need to restore any files off of the CD that you may have changed.  So if
you edited the atlanta.txt or changed any of the graphics in the layout.dat
you'll need copy the original versions off of the CD, being sure to change
them from read-only.

BTW, which file the patch trying to alter when the error is given?

I got the same error message right after "Applying Modify File Patch
for'Atlanta.txt'  I probably changed the max field size or something but
restore the original 'Atlanta.txt' file and you should be OK

Have you done any modifications to the files?  Like edit the
atlanta.txt file?  If so, it's probably your problem.  Put these
files back to their original state and see what happens.

This also applies to the nascar.exe file, so anyone using the modified version
that eliminates the CD check will have to copy the original .exe from the CD
before using the patch.

if you are haveing this prob then you need to , one reinstall the game or
copy the files off the CD. the files that have errors are one's that have
been modifide in one way or another

Make sure the patch is run in the Nascar 2 directory
