3 wheel drivers in N2-3Dfx....

by kite » Sun, 29 Mar 1998 04:00:00

Greetings..

I just started racing Nascar2 again, now the 3Dfx patch is
here, and while I'm a okay racer I've yet to re-configure my setups.

Problem is that that I seem to have a much greater number of cars
running with ONLY 3 WHEELS, when using the patch.  All the cars start
with 4 wheels but you know how it is, 'a little fast into T1 and a bit
of paint comes of car #34'.

The damaged 3 wheeled cars are definitly running slower that normal,

Now I don't know if the standard version does this, but If a car is
missing the left rear or front right tire it shouldn't be racing.

Also I've noticed that the sometimes the collision physics seem wrong,
shunting a slower car sometimes sends it off at (out of control /
spinning) , what seems to be speeds over my original impact speed.

Does any one know if the Nas3dfx.exe replaces the nascar2.exe or just
acts as a wrapper to port the graphic instructions to the the voodoo
card.
The nas3dfx.exe is just a bit smaller that the 1.03 version of the
nascar2.exe (1.31MB as compared to 1.32MB) but this could be due to
removal of code for other graphics cards etc.

Anyone drive bad enough to spot this???
